LABORATORY TESTING

As a Registered, Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, Julie can assist you with making decisions about your individual specific treatment plan, based on your test results.

 

FUNCTIONAL AND DIAGNOSTIC TESTING

. assess your cardiovascular health (cholesterol, triglycerides, C-Reactive Protein, homocysteine, ApoB, Lp(a), fibrinogen, insulin, MTHFR, ApoE genotyping, paricle density, and number)

. assess your adrenal stress (cortisol, DHEA..)

. measure estrogen metabolites and determine your risk of developing estrogen-sensitive cancers

. assess your micro-nutrient status  (vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, carbohydrate metabolism, fatty acids)

. assess your fat-soluble vitamin status, nutrient processing and dietary insufficiency’s

. measure anaerobes, drug resistant genes, antibiotic and botanical sensitivities, gliadin-specific sigA, plus other inflammation, digestion and abosroption markers through stool analysis

. assess  your risk for Metabolic Syndrome (which would put you at high risk for Diabetes type 2)

. assess your VItamin D status

 

GENE TESTING

Through gene testing, Julie can:

. match your diet to your genetic code and determine the right exercise and ratios of carbohydrate, protein, and fat to help you with weight management

. assess your genetic predisposition to an heart attack based on inflammation

. identify variations in your genes crucial to your B-vitamin metabolism and the ability to manage oxidative stress, which can affect your risk of certain diseases and cancers

. identify whether you are more likely to be susceptible to spine fractures and low bone mineral density associated with osteoporosis

. identify your genetic risk for developing severe periodontal disease, which can lead to tooth loss and also is associated with heart disease

 

LEAP/MRT FOOD/CHEMICAL SENSITIVITY TESTING

Through non-IgE LEAP/MRT testing, Julie can:

. help decipher the culprit(s) of your Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), FIbromyalgia, Migraine or Chronic Headaches, Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficity with Hyperactivity (ADHD), Arthralgia or Joint Pain, Inflammatory Arthritis, Eczema, Reflux (GERD), Chronic Sinus Headaches, or Sinusitis, and identify reactive foods in those with Autism.
